Routines and schedules are important for children, especially those who are between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. Daily routines help give a sense of security and help influence emotional, cognitive, and social development. While Joy Kids Learning Center opens at 6:45AM our teachers begin their day of instruction by 8:30AM and this is why we recommend children arrive to their classroom no later than 8:30AM.  This allows the teacher and children to begin their day together and without disruption.   

 

Joy Kids Learning Center operates year round, Monday through Friday from 6:45AM to 6:00PM and has a registration period from August to August. We understand that some people need full-time care, while others need care for only 2 or 3 days a week and so it is with those operating hours and our goal of helping your child develop emotionally, cognitively and socially that we are able to offer the following enrollment programs (all programs are full day). We do not offer a part-day program (i.e.drop off at 8AM and pickup at 12PM):

11:00AM - 11:30AM        Specials (i.e. Physicial Education, Music, Spanish, Chapel)

11:30AM - 12:00PM        Wash Hands, Story Time

12:00PM - 12:30PM        Lunch

12:30PM - 1:00PM          Books on Cot

1:00PM -   3:00PM          Nap/Quiet Time

3:00PM -   3:30PM          Snack

3:30PM -   4:00PM          Center Time

4:00PM -   5:00PM          Gross Motor Play (outdoor)
